Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Route On Time. You can also go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription in the App. Apple handles all billing, so we can't cancel subscriptions for you. See Manage or cancel Route On Time Pro.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. See Apple's refund instructions.
I subscribed, but the App still shows the Free plan.
Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, then go to Settings → Subscription in the App and tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, email us and we'll sort it out.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the App, go to Settings, scroll down, tap Delete Account, and confirm. For security, if you signed in more than a few minutes ago, the App will ask you to sign out and sign back in first. If you can't access the App, email hello@routeontime.com from your account's email address and we'll delete it for you. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Does Route On Time track my location in the background?
No. The App only uses your location while you're using it, to fill in "Current location" and show nearby search results when you plan a trip. Location is optional; you can always type an address. Departure alerts are based on your saved trips and traffic, not on tracking you. See our Privacy Policy.
I'm not getting departure alerts.
Check that notifications are allowed for Route On Time in the iPhone Settings app and turned on in the App (Settings → Notifications), and that a Focus mode isn't silencing them. Smart Leave alerts and the departure countdown are Route On Time Pro features. If alerts still don't arrive, email us with your app version and iOS version.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password? and enter your email to get a reset link. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use the same "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google" button instead; there's no separate password.
I used "Hide My Email" with Sign in with Apple. Can you still reach me?
Yes. Apple gives us a private relay address that forwards to your inbox. When you email support, tell us you use Sign in with Apple so we can find your account. You can manage apps that use Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings; see Apple's guide.
Is Route On Time available on Android?
Not yet. Route On Time is currently available for iPhone on the App Store.
